Neurosis & Psychosis
Neurosis & Psychosis

I tell you the difference.
As I told somebody's journal, from at age 12 to 15 I was repeatedly again and again and again -more than 700 times if I remember correctly, -yes I do, I was suffered from catalepsy but strangely I was 'not unconscious'- that's different from typical symptoms I guess anyway. I overcame the hardship.
The same days I was caught by a heavy neurosis, it took a few years to overcome it.
At age 15, I managed to overcome these mental conditions but still I have to wait another three years to overcome 'hysteria'- which means 'physical unwellness based on aftershocks after we overcame the neurosis' in academic usage.
So I am eligible to tell what catalepsy/neurosis/hysteria are well but when it comes to psychosis, I had no idea till I met a man who had suffered from schizophrenia at my age 22.
According to his story, his parents divorced before his birth and he only knew his stepfather and his biological mother in his chilhood. And what made him schizophrenic was his stepfather -who was paedophile and homosexual, and he was vicimised by his stepfather when he was still a baby.
I happened to have chances to hear his story for three months occasionally, but in the end I felt scared by his 'true story' and decided not to see him any more. Soon after he was forced to return to mental hospital again.
I must say the difference between neurosis and psychosis is whether there is a physical contact or not. I mean if no physical contact was made, people stayed up to neurosis but once physical contacts are involved people are going up to psychosis.
I still remember his last famous word. - 'I am totally not sure whether my story is true'.

in 3rd grade does wonders for ones mental sanity. Now, psychosis is not always triggered by 'traumatic events' the fact of the matter is it's a 'genetically coded' survival trait, which can be 'on' at birth. I remember easily all the way back to 3 years of age and have vauge recollections of sub 3 yrs old. in fact, when 'survival traits' like schizophrenia are triggered by real world events treatment is more easily given.if my schizophrenia was triggered by real world events, it would explain a lot, It would explain the whole 'stealth mode' bit.. people who seem stupid, who are in general loosers aren't going to be killed by gangs of angry people.. it would explain the 'fear of success' afterall no-one tries to target failures. it would explain much of my paranoia and conspiracy theory... it would even explain much of my anger at my parents, for taking me from a 'safe' place where people liked me, to being brought to a 'dangerous' place where i could only be hated or mocked....--Everyone whom you love, loves no one else. So you mean your schizophrenia is genetically coded -inherited in other words? If so, is it as good as incurable?--Ancient Greek Philosophers -18c Enlightenment Thinkers -Slashdotters [ Parent ]
