Battle of Sekigahara
2005.08.14 17:38

People often describe this as a battle to decide who rules Japan.
This battle was held in Japan in 1600. At that time all Japanese was devided into two, one was the West and the other was the East, like the War of the Roses in Britain in 1455 I think. Unlike the War of the Roses that lasted for thirty years, the Battle of Sekigahara finished in several hours fiece fighting. This is going to be somehow similar to the outcome of the next general election.
That was a battle over the hegemony of Japan by Japanese powerful warlord clans.
This election is going to be the battle between old regime and new order. For those who are interested in Japanese history, here is the link.
